We create roles in the spaces we make. Therefore, I am interested in creating opportunitiesto address questionsof culture in a community atmosphere.

My recent graduate exhibit Hybrid Identities: Crafting Chicanx Objects explores a complex subject of identity, and activates an exhibition space to cultivate community experience and interaction. I invite audiences to sit on chairs crafted from experiences of my own non-linear Mexican-American identity growing up in Los Angeles, providing an opportunity for mindful discussions that contemplate ancestry, memories, and hybrid identities. More importantly, it combines both a physical ecosystem, along with community activism, along with my designed objects.
